Erma Lorraine Thornock, age 87, passed away at Brookdale Assisted Living on Sunday, March 25, 2018.

Erma was born in Kemmerer, Wyoming, on September 29, 1930, to Spencer and Erma Hysell. She attended school in Kemmerer, graduating from Kemmerer High.

She married her high school sweetheart Bill Thornock on September 2, 1950. They lived in Frontier, Wyoming, where Erma worked in the office at the Frontier Supply Company and Bill served in the Army. After his release, they moved to Pocatello, Idaho.

Erma was a homemaker, raising their children and serving in many church callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her most memorable experiences were from serving as Stake Relief Society President. Erma and Bill moved to Bountiful, Utah, for five years until Bill retired in 1990, when they moved back to Pocatello.

Erma and Bill’s two children are Larry (Beth) of Hemet, California, and Cindy (Richard) Rhead of Boise, Idaho.

Erma is survived by her children, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Thornock.

Funeral services for Erma were held on Tuesday, April 3, at the L.D.S. Chapel on Oakwood Drive in Pocatello, Idaho. She was laid to rest next to her husband at the Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Pocatello.
