It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donna Jean Garvey, age 84, of Solon Springs, Wisconsin, who passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2018.
Donna was born in Speer, Wyoming, on April 11, 1934. She graduated from Wheatland High School and later went on to secretarial trade school in Denver, Colorado, at which time she met her husband, Charles “Pat” Garvey.
Donna and Pat married on August 23, 1958. Pat and Donna moved to Solon Springs, Wisconsin, where they raised their four children, and where she lived the remainder of her life. Donna loved to garden, paint ceramics, play cards, and knit. She especially liked to listen to music, read, and watch old western movies.
Donna is preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Minnie Dey, husband Pat Garvey, brothers Jake, Bob, Neil, and sister Clarice.
Donna is survived by her children Patsy (Terry) Tolene of Wisconsin, Myke (Junior) Nishi of Colorado, Scott (Kathy) Garvey of Wisconsin, and Sandy (Bill) Lozier of Wyoming; grandchildren Jake (Jesica) Lozier, Gussie (Steve) Boyd, Thomas Lozier, Courtney Garvey, Tyler Garvey, Beau Edwards, Trey Scheldroup, 11 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date. Those who so desire can make memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Donna.
