Ambrose W. Duran, 83, passed away in Little Rock, Arkansas, on June 13, 2017. Ambrose was born on September 9, 1933, to Joe and Flora Duran in Taos, New Mexico.
Duran was raised in Cokeville and served in the Korean War.
He is survived by two sons, Lloyd A. Duran of Big Piney, and Michael (Peggy) Duran of Cokeville, two sisters, Rose Harmon of Cokeville, and Mary Iverson of Vernal, Utah, one brother, Tony Duran of Montpelier, Idaho, four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Duran was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Flora Duran, his wife Helen Duran, daughter Delores Lovell, and three brothers, Joe Duran Jr., Ernest Duran, and Ferdie Duran.
A graveside service will be held at the Cokeville Cemetery on August 5, 2017, at 11:30 a.m.
