Panthers, Lady Panthers recognize seniors

COKEVILLE — The Lady Panthers swept last week’s basketball games on their home court Friday and Saturday, Feb. 9-10. On Friday, they hosted the Lady Rattlers of Snake River. The Lady Rattlers kept it close, but the win went to the Lady Panthers, 52-45.

Panthers, Lady Panthers recognize seniors

COKEVILLE — The Lady Panthers swept last week’s basketball games on their home court Friday and Saturday, Feb. 9-10. On Friday, they hosted the Lady Rattlers of Snake River. The Lady Rattlers kept it close, but the win went to the Lady Panthers, 52-45.

TyLeigh Dayton led the scoring with 13 points, 4 rebounds and 3 steals. Mia Dayton put up 12 points, 3 steals and 3 assists. Addison Barnes had 11 points and 5 rebounds. Bryli Groll scored 9 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Madi Dayton pulled down 8 rebounds and dished 3 assists. Rachel Thomas had 5 rebounds.

For their final home game of the season, the Lady Panthers were hosts to the Lady Tigers of Encampment. The Lady Panthers took control early and dominated, winning 66-41.

Mia Dayton had 19 points, 10 steals, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Addison Barnes had 15 points, 5 steals and 4 rebounds. Bryli Groll had 12 points, 4 assists and 3 steals. TyLeigh Dayton had 9 points and 9 rebounds. Madi Dayton and Rachel Thomas each had 3 assists. The girls will go on the road for their final games of the regular season with Saratoga and Encampment.

The Panthers had two exciting conference wins at home on their home court against the Rattlers of Snake River and the Encampment Tigers. They were hosted the Rattlers on Friday. The Panthers took control from the tip-off and won, 55-37.

Justin Moyes had 13 points and 4 assists. Jack Dayton had 12 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. Kayson Walker had 12 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Kalob Haderlie and Drake Plowman each pulled down 4 rebounds. Dash Nate put up 8 points for the Panthers.

Saturday was an exciting matchup with the Tigers. The score was tied at the end of the first quarter, 13-13. The Panthers took a 28-23 lead going into the half. It was the third quarter that really made the difference as the Panthers outscored the Rattlers 17-9. The final score was 57-42 for the Panthers.

Justin Moyes had 16 points, 4 rebounds and 3 steals. Kayson Walker had 13 points. Jack Dayton had 8 rebounds and 3 assists. The Panthers will be out of town on Friday and Saturday for make up games with Saratoga and Encampment.
