Cokeville news roundup for Tuesday, Dec. 5

COKEVILLE — The Cokeville Branch Library hosted its November Book Review on Monday, Nov. 27. The book for November was “The Energy Bus.” Those participating enjoyed sharing ideas and comments. The Book for December is “Christmas Jars.” Participants will meet on Thursday, Dec. 28. There are books available at the library for those who want to join in this month’s discussion.

The faculty and staff from the Cokeville schools came together on Wednesday, Nov. 29, for their annual Christmas party. They enjoyed a catered dinner by “Stuft” Catering from Afton. A performance by Celebration and a fun game of Family Feud were all part of the night’s activities.

The Cokeville 1st Ward Relief Society met at the church for a “Sisters in Candyland” activity. There were three Christmas candy demonstrations; chocolates, pretzels and divinity. Those attending brought a favorite Christmas goody to share. Following the demonstrations, everyone was given a cute box to take home to enjoy a sample of all the treats.

Tevita Pauni, son of EJ and Madi Pauni, was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by his dad on Nov. 24. Friends and family were there to share in his special day.

Cokeville kicked off the Christmas season on Saturday, Dec. 2, with the annual Craft Fair, Light Parade and a visit with Santa. Winter weather brought cooler temperatures and snowy conditions but that didn’t deter community members from gathering to enjoy the day’s festivities.

A Cokeville Community Christmas Musical is set for Sunday, Dec. 10, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 6 p.m. Everyone is invited to join in the Christmas celebration.

The Cokeville High School Christmas concert will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 13, at 7:30 p.m., in the auditorium at Cokeville High School.

The Cokeville Elementary Christmas play will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 20, at 7 p.m., in the auditorium at Cokeville High School.
