Riggen Walker says his favorite part of football is the physical aspect of it.
“I like hitting,” Walker said. “It is a really physical game.”
Walker is a sophomore and has been awarded the All-Conference honor for the 2020 football season. All-Conference honors are awarded by the Wyoming Coaches Association. Head coaches in every conference vote on the players to receive All-Conference honors.
“Football is usually a team sport,” Walker said. “It feels good to get the award. It is really a standout moment.”
This is his first time winning All-Conference, but Walker said he has his sights set higher for next year.
“Last year it was no award. This year was All-Conference. Next year I am trying for All-State,” Walker said.
While he isn’t sure what life after high school will be like yet, he said he wants to play football or do wrestling wherever he goes.
For Walker, being a Ranger means that while you might not have “the funnest (sic) time on the field, you really dig deep and are full of true grit.
