Zyan is the new Wyoming State Champion in the boys 8-and-under division in the 25-yard butterfly. Zyan also placed 3rd in the 100-yard free, 25-yard free, and 100-yard IM. Zyan placed 5th in the 50-yard free and 8th in the 25-yard breaststroke. Zyan came in second for high point in the boys 8-and-under division.
This was Jade’s first state competition, and he proved he deserved to be there. Jade placed 11th in the state in the 10-and-under boys division in his 50-yard breaststroke, cutting three seconds off his qualifying time. Jade also swam the 100-yard breaststroke, placing 13th and cutting more than 4 seconds.
Malachi competed in the 12-and-under boys division. Malachi placed 4th in the 500-yard free, cutting 12.45 seconds, and 4th in the 200-yard IM, cutting more than 7 seconds. Malachi also finished 7th in the 100-yard back, and 8th in the 50-yard backstroke.
These boys have worked very hard over the past year. We have had to travel four days a week to practice in Evanston, Lyman and Green River since the Kemmerer pool is being renovated. Their work ethic and dedication is amazing at such a young age, I couldn’t be more proud of these boys both as a coach and as their mother.
