The new urgent care at South Lincoln Medical Center celebrated its grand opening on Friday, Sept. 21. The urgent care officially opened on Sept. 4. Members of the community joined with SLMC staff to tour the new facilities and learn about the urgent care. There was also a bounce house and a helicopter.
South Lincoln Medical Center CEO Karl Sundberg welcomed attendees and thanked all the SLMC staff who helped make the idea of an urgent care center in Kemmerer a reality. He introduced new SLMC physician assistants Trevor Steiner and Matthew Thomson, who will work at the urgent care. He recognized the SLMC maintenance staff — including Harvey Jackson, Derek Housley, Eli Backman and Derick Wilcox — for their renovations on the urgent care space.
Sundberg also recognized Jessie Kramer, who is the urgent care manager at SLMC.
