Turning Point partners with Usborne Books for fundraiser

Posted

The Turning Point is partnering with Emily Baird of Usborne Books & More in a fundraiser which will help purchase books for The Turning Point Self-Help Center. There are multiple ways contribute to this fundraiser. Please join us in this effort by either ordering a box of cards, ordering books for your own family, being a Hero Host and donating your hostess book rewards, or making a monetary donation. Sharing the posts and information about this fundraiser helps get the word out as well!

Four ways to help:
1. First, you have the opportunity to buy a box of handcrafted and beautifully embellished cards for $30. There are 30 cards in each box with many options to choose from. $13 from every box of cards sold comes back to the shelter in books. For anyone interested in buying a box of cards, please use the attached Cards for a Cause google form.

2. You can also make a monetary donation using the FundRazr donation link.

3. You could host an Usborne Books & More party with Emily in which all of the book rewards would be donated to The Turning Point.

4. Finally if you would like to order books for your own family you could place an order using the attached shopping link. Any orders or parties will gather book rewards which will be combined with card sales and monetary donations. All of these options to contribute will be compiled to make a book donation to The Turning Point!

Often the victims that stay in The Turning Point’s shelter have to leave a bad situation quickly and don't take much with them. When children are involved, it can be especially tricky for them to sort through their feelings. We are hoping to provide books that help the children and their parents identify strategies for coping, opening up communication, rebuilding family relationships and identifying their feelings. Usborne Books & More offers many books in their selection that will be incredibly valuable for helping the children and adults who use the services from our center.

We would love to see your smiling faces at the hospital this Friday!
