Travis Robert Sloan, age 30, went home to his heavenly Father on March 6, 2021. Travis was born July 19, 1990, to Robert and Sherrol Sloan.

He attended Kemmerer High School and graduated from Job Corps in 2008.

He joined the Army in September 2009. He was one of the 20th Brigade Combat Engineers during his service and tour in Iraq during Operation New Dawn. He served our country with great honor and sacrifice. He was proud of his service and of being a veteran.

Travis loved the outdoors. He enjoyed camping, fishing and four wheeling. He loved animals, especially his dog Harley. He was proud of his Irish heritage and loved being with his family and friends. He always tried to make those around him laugh.

His family will miss his crooked, cheesy grin, his dimple and laugh. His family will miss him beyond measure in their hearts and thoughts always.

Travis is survived by his daughter, Jaide Marie; his parents, Robert and Sherrol Sloan of Diamondville; his siblings, Josh (Jenn) Sloan of Salt Lake City, Cortney (Travis) Bartschi of Kemmerer, and Nicole Sloan of Diamondville. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins and by his grandfathers, Leonard Sloan of Diamondville and Darld Marshall of West Jordan, Utah. His best friend, Chris Meeks — who was a combat brother, also survives him.

His grandmother, Arline Marshall, and aunt Diane Mower preceded him in death.

A celebration of life in his honor will be held at a later date.

We love you Travis and will miss you.
