Tony James Fritzel Jr.

Posted

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Tony informs you that our amazing, honorable, loving husband, father, brother, uncle and grandpa has passed away.

Tony, 81, gained his wings on Nov. 28, at his home in Evanston.

He was born June 26, 1937, to Tony James Fritzel Sr. and Jessie (Crawford) Fritzel.

Tony met his forever love, Wendy K. Lee, after a squirt gun water fight. They were married on Dec. 20, 1969, and were blessed with four great daughters: Jerri (Chris) Moak, Terresa (George) Cook, Toni Fritzell (Lon Evans) and Angela (Brett) Votts.

Tony was also blessed with other children from previous marriages: Wendy, Ronda, Robin, Pauline, Micki, Cindy Jo, Don and Russell.

Tony and Wendy worked side by side for 35 years. They started T&W Auto Repair in 1983.

He loved camping, fishing, hunting, watching westerns, listening to classic country music and working on automobiles — but most of all, he loved being with his family.

Tony is survived by his forever love, Wendy; his children; sister, Mary Houser; brother, Bill (Loraine) Fritzel; 22 grandchildren; and  36 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by a daughter, Jerri; a son, Russell; a great-grandson, Jacolby; his, brother Mike; and his parents.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8, at Crandall Funeral Home, 800 Uinta St., Evanston.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and clients.
