Student council hosts food drive for the holidays

The KJSHS student council stands in front of the decorated Christmas trees and food donation boxes for their annual holiday food drive. The community is invited to view the trees and donate food and toys for the drive. The KJSHS student council has started the annual holiday food drive. The food drive has been a friendly competition between the winter sports  and clubs for many years now. Each year the teams compete against each other to see which team can collect the most food for the local food bank.

The KJSHS student council would like to welcome the community to the high school to come look at our decorated Christmas trees and our Ranger tree. The Ranger tree is for the whole student body, and the student council will be collecting toys and books for children this holiday season. The toys will be given to the Angel Tree committee in our community.

Community members are welcome to donate to the food drive. This year the food bank will not accept Top Ramen, perishable foods, saltines, green beans, corn or pasta.

Shawn Crank, Tanner Plowman and Easton Countryman decorate the boys’ basketball Christmas tree for the annual food and toy drive.

The girls' basketball team is also collecting hats, mittens and gloves as part of the holiday food and toy drive.
