According to Kimberly Anderson, the South Lincoln Medical Center Human Resource Manager, on Monday, July 17, “the South Lincoln Hospital District Board of Trustees accepted the resignation of CEO Kenneth Archer.”
Archer had been the CEO of South Lincoln Medical Center since January 2015.
“Ken Archer gave personal reasons for resigning during an executive session of the hospital board,” said Kristin Housley.
Housley, along with Jessie Wilcox and Scott Erickson, was appointed by the board to be part of the interim management team before the board hires another CEO for the South Lincoln Hospital District.
A press release from Anderson and the Hospital Board said that they are “confident that the Interim Management Team has the ability and experience necessary to handle the continued operation for all facilities including hospital, EMS, clinic, nursing home, and retail pharmacy.”
Housley echoed this confidence in the team and the board’s vision for the future.
“We’re still continuing in the same direction,” Housley said. “We want to keep the hospital as good as it is.”
The hospital board is still searching for a physician to replace Dr. Starr, who recently moved to Logan for another job.
“We want to keep building on what we had with Ken,” Housley said.
