National Finals Rodeo two-time champion Matt Sherwood took some time out of his busy schedule to talk to a small group in Dingle, Idaho, on Sunday, July 16.
Matt shared stories from his childhood and his high school and college experiences.
He also discussed his two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Australia, Melbourne Mission, his work in the tile and flooring business, and now his hopes of returning to the National Finals Rodeo this fall.
Matt spoke of the importance of figuring out what you really want in life and then doing everything you can to get it.
He told the kids all about the value of hard work and determination.
He also took time to answer questions and visit with those in attendance. Good luck, Matt, we are all cheering for you!
