The Kemmerer Recreation Center hosted a hike with Marcia Fagnant, a former park ranger at Fossil Butte National Monument on Wednesday, July 29. The group hiked on the Lions Club Trail which is located behind the Kemmerer City Hall. Participants were able to learn about various plants and animals from Fagnant during the hike. Fortunately for the hikers, the day was sunny and clear so they were able to see ospreys, frogs, deer, a marmot, butterflies, swallows and many different plants.
