KEMMERER — The Kemmerer Rangers started conference play at home on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 24-25, playing against Wind River and Shoshoni.
The Rangers played Wind River on Friday Jan. 24. The last meeting of the two was during the regional tournament of 2019, where Kemmerer won 71-69 and secured a spot in the State Tournament.
Wind River came out looking for the win after the loss last year, playing fast and hard against the Rangers.
The Rangers, knowing about their opponent, struck fast and kept the game in balance, coming out on top 68-61. For the second time in a row the Rangers came out on top of Wind River.
On Saturday Jan. 25, the Rangers played against Shoshoni. Coming off a win the previous night, the Rangers were raring to go. With the crowd cheering them on the Rangers came out on top 45-34.
On Tuesday, Jan. 28, the Rangers competed at Lyman falling short 66-44. The Rangers will be competing at Wyoming Indian Jan. 31 and at Cokeville Feb. 1.
