The 24th annual Oyster Ridge Music Festival comes to Kemmerer this weekend.

What started out as a small flat-pick guitar contest in 1994 has turned into a weekend that brings together locals and tourists in Triangle Park for great music and food.

According to a Gazette article from that first festival, “the show was enjoyed by all, and the audience hated to see it end. It was some of the finest music heard in a while around here.”

“We’re really looking forward to a successful festival, and we’re so thankful for the cooperation and help of the city,” Thomas Lively, ORMF chairman, said at the July 23 City Council meeting.
