Kemmerer resident Michael West passed away on Feb. 14, at South Lincoln Medical Center.
Michael was born July 23, 1946, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was married to Carol Haynes; they later divorced.
He married Linda Treadway on Oct. 22, 1993, in Salt Lake City.
Michael was a Vietnam veteran who made the military his career, retiring from the U.S. Air Force in 1985. He was proud of his service, loved his country and was a true patriot.
Michael is survived by his loving wife, Linda; daughters, Kimberly (Michael) FitzPatrick of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Shannon (Joseph) Hornsey of Cedar Park, Texas; stepdaughters, Lisa Cisneros and Kathleen Treadway, both of Salt Lake City; and sister, Lillie Mitchell of Casper.
He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Family meant everything to Michael, and his pride in his children and grandchildren was surpassed only by his love for them.
A memorial service and burial with military honors will take place in Colorado Springs at a later date.
