Kemmerer High School wrestlers competed at the National Duals in Des Moines, Iowa, March 31 - April 2. Hayden Walker, Donny Proffit, Dawson Schramm, Brendon Miller, Carson Carlson and Hagen Lamaroux made the trip to the duals with Team Wyoming.
The boys all wrestled well, with Team Wyoming bringing home a third-place finish and nine members of the team were named All-American. Four boys from the Kemmerer area wrestled their way to All-American status: Hayden Walker, Donny Proffit, Dawson Schramm and Hagen Lamaroux.
The same bunch of boys made their way the next weekend to Reno, Nevada, for the Reno Worlds. The Reno tournament is one of the biggest tournaments any of the boys competed at this year with 3,500 participants.
Hayden Walker placed seventh, gaining All-American status again. Donny Proffit finished fifth, also gaining All-American for a second time this year. Dawson Schramm was one match away from earning All-American in Reno.
Carson Carlson and Brendon Miller battled their way through some tough matches, but ultimately fell short of placing. Congratulations to all these boys for their hard work and dedication.
