At its recent meeting, the Wyoming Community Foundation gave back to the state’s charitable causes. The statewide organization reported it distributed more than $3 million to various organizations across the state.
The Wyoming Community Foundation counts on donor support for grantmaking. The organization holds nearly 400 funds for families, individual donors, businesses, and nonprofits. One of these funds is the Kemmerer Foundation Endowment Fund. Through the fund, the Wyoming Community Foundation was able to distribute $58,568 to the City of Kemmerer, the Lincoln County Library Foundation, Oyster Ridge Music Festival and the Town of Diamondville.
“Each year we receive more and more requests for funding,” says Anita McLaughlin, Program Associate at the Wyoming Community Foundation. “Because of donor support, outstanding nonprofits are able to look to us for assistance. We are able to give to interesting, community-building projects and at times, even support organizations looking to grow.”
