Last year, the American flag at Fossil Island Golf Club fell after the topper split from the pole.
Recently, Public Works Director Chad Nielson, Building Maintenance Lead Brian Harris, and Fire Chief Paul Dever acquired replacement parts, a new flag, and again raised it over the course.
I’d like to thank them for their persistence and especially the fire department for bringing their ladder truck to hang it.
Without them, we just wouldn’t have been able to do it.
