Dear Editor:
I have worked extensively with Mark Gordon, gubernatorial candidate and current Wyoming State Treasurer, in a professional capacity when I was the Lincoln County Treasurer from 2010 until I retired in March 2016. I have also had the privilege of becoming a friend of his during the past eight years because of that association. I would like to speak to the experience I had during that time.
Mark Gordon attended and participated in the first County Treasurers’ state meeting in 2010 that I attended, soon after he took office. He consistently showed up for our meetings--both the individual meetings and the state meetings—something I learned was unusual. He was always interested and listened to feedback concerning our discussions. He would without fail offer sincere conversation and suggest solutions.
His concern for our state was evident. He would stop by my Lincoln County office often, just to check in and see how things were going. He would visit others in the courthouse as well, to inquire about any matters that may have been of interest to either the county official or the public, and what he could do to help in his capacity as the Wyoming State Treasurer.
Instead of negative comments that didn’t match our Wyoming values, Mark focused on creative and positive solutions. I personally witnessed Mark’s many great attributes: boundless energy, extraordinary work ethic, unlimited love of Wyoming, and his responsiveness to problems he encountered throughout the state.
Mark demonstrated to me during my association with him in his role of the Wyoming State Treasurer that he has all the attributes necessary to govern our great state as the next Wyoming Governor. He understands all the aspects of the state because of his deep love of Wyoming and his experience in all parts of it — the energy side, the agricultural side, and the financial side, just to name a few. Mark Gordon is ready to govern.
Respectfully,
Kathy Tomassi
