Dear Editor,
Our community is very fortunate having Andrew Nelson as our City Administrator. The City Council meeting held on Mon, June 12, was extremely informative.
Mr. Nelson used a Power Point presentation to explain the results of the community survey he had offered to the community to complete. (Thanks to all who took the time to do this.) This survey is what helped to guide the direction of the budget.
In regards to the budget, Mr. Nelson explained how he reached the budget results. He also had a written explanation available to the public.
Thanks to City Administrator Nelson, Mayor Tomassi, the City Council and department managers for their efforts in wrestling with difficult revenue shortfalls and nearly achieving their goal of a balanced budget.
