Lena Marie Bond

Posted

Lena Marie Bond, 95, was released from the confines of her earthly duty on Friday, Oct. 20, 2017.  She longed to be reunited with her beloved husband, Roy, and other family who have gone on before.

Lena was born on Oct. 31, 1921, to Constantino (Gus) and Ada Droghini, the second of six children. She and Roy had one daughter, Frankie Ann.

Lena was an avid bowler and bowled on teams both in Evanston and Kemmerer.  She loved it and was good at it.

She also enjoyed crocheting, reading, hunting for arrowheads and spending holidays and time with her family. She worked hard all of her life and was willing to tackle any chore with gusto. She worked at numerous jobs and retired from Pacificorp.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gus and Ada; her husband, Roy; one brother, Walt (Es) Pacchetti; sisters, Clara (John) Sedey, Mary (Burt) Burton and Anna (Chick) Poulous; and a grandson, Dennis.

She is survived by her daughter, Frankie Bond; granddaughter, Stacee Rasmussen; great-grandchildren, Dusty, Alexis and Isabella; and one sister, Opal (Rudy) Card of Ely, Nevada.

According to her wishes she has been cremated and will be interred next to her husband in the Evanston City Cemetery. The immediate family will honor her life at a later date.

Fly high, little Lena. You are finally at peace, and you have earned those wings!
