The Lady Rangers volleyball team faced a tough 3–0 loss to Mountain View at home on August 30.
But the weekend tournament in Greybull was a different story for the red and black. The Lady Rangers picked up some wins to earn a 4–7 record on the season.
Kemmerer competed in the Greybull-Riverside tournament on Friday, August 31, and Saturday, Sept. 1.
On Friday, the Lady Rangers kicked off their tournament play against fellow 2A schools Tongue River and Wyoming Indian. Kemmerer won both of those match-ups.
On Saturday, Kemmerer returned to the tournament to face off against the Riverside Lady Rebels.
The Lady Rangers beat Riverside 2-1, with set scores of 25-18, 18-25 and 15-13.
Saturday’s second match for Kemmerer was against the Lady Buffaloes of Greybull. The Kemmerer team fought hard but lost 2-0, with set scores of 25-19, 25-16.
The Lady Rangers’ last match of the Greybull tournament was against Rocky Mountain. Kemmerer won 2-1 in close sets of 25-20, 25-23, 13-15.
The Kemmerer volleyball team plays in the Star Valley tournament in Afton on Friday, Sept. 7, and Saturday, Sept. 8.
Then, the Lady Rangers host Wind River on Friday, Sept. 14, and Shoshoni on Saturday, Sept. 15, at the Kemmerer High School gym.
