The Kemmerer girls’ swim team competed in the 3A West conference meet in Lander on Oct. 19 and 20.
The Lady Ranger team of freshman Laurel Clarke, junior Teryn Thatcher, senior Brooklynn Hagler and senior Alexis Krall competed in the 200-yard medley relay
Krall finished 9th in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 27.66. In the diving event, sophomore Sydnie Julander finished fourth. Freshman diver Laurel Clarke finished in 10th place.
Hagler took fourth place in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:07.63.
Krall finished 7th in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 1:00.44.
In the 200-yard freestyle relay, the Lady Ranger team of freshman Addison Wilcox, sophomore Sophie Failoni and freshmen Cheyann Roose and Laurel Clarke took 7th place.
Thatcher swam to a fourth-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time 1:16.12, and Hagler took 7th place with a time of 1:18.42.
The 400-yard freestyle relay team took sixth place with a time of 4:20.87. That team was Hagler, Wilcox, Krall and Thatcher.
In the 100-yard breaststroke swim-off, Hagler finished behind Lander’s Ashlon Koch with a time of 1:17.28. Koch’s time was 1:17.19.

So far, five Lady Ranger swimmers have qualified to compete for a total of 15 individual events at the state meet.
