Being a student athlete is a challenge, but the Kemmerer Lady Ranger seniors have accepted that challenge and led their team with class and determination this season.
Seniors for the Lady Rangers this season are Katie Zuniga, Taylor Brunski and Stevie Moyles.
“Being a senior means we’ve really had to step up,” Zuniga said.
The Lady Rangers have gone through their share of hardships. They’re a young team in a tough conference. The seniors have also had several different coaches throughout their basketball careers with Kemmerer.
“Especially this year, I think we’ve grown closer as a team,” Brunski said.
The seniors said they will miss everything that comes along with being a student athlete.
“I’ll miss having kind of a second family,” Zuniga said.
“I think I’ll miss being competitive and pushing hard every game, and making memories at regionals and state,” Brunski said.
The Lady Ranger seniors said they’re excited to prove themselves at regionals this weekend.
