The boys' team earned 12th place, and the girls' team earned 16th place against much bigger Wyoming and Utah schools.

KHS track competes at Davis Super Invite

The Kemmerer Ranger track team competed at the Davis Super Meet in Kaysville, Utah, on Tuesday, March 21, and Wednesday, March 22.

Girls' track

The Lady Rangers competed against schools from Utah and Wyoming, and earned 16th place at the meet against several 3A and 4A schools.

Sydnie Julander competed in the high jump event and earned some points for the Kemmerer team.

Jillian Tibbetts, Callie Bosch and Shaunna Steed competed in the shot put for the Lady Rangers.

Tibbetts, Bosch and Steed also competed in the discus throw.

Marisa Orcutt, Katie Zuniga and Jillian Tibbetts competed in the 100-meter dash.

Sammi Butler ran the mile race for the Lady Rangers track team.

Teryn Thatcher, Katie Zuniga, Marisa Orcutt and Sydnie Julander ran the 400-meter race, with Thatcher finishing first in her heat, and Orcutt finishing 19th overall against much bigger schools.

In the 800-meter race, Sophie Failoni finished fourth in her heat, with Sammi Butler and Teryn Thatcher finishing 8th and 9th in their heat.

Katie Zuniga and Jillian Tibbetts finished second and third in their heat of the 200-meter race.

The team of Kenley Plowman, Teryn Thatcher, Sophie Failoni and Sammi Butler finished fifth overall in the 4x800 relay.

Boys' track 

The Kemmerer boys competed against schools from both Utah and Wyoming, and earned 12th place at the meet against several 3A and 4A schools.

Senior Louis Failoni earned 7th place in the 1600-meter race, and also 7th place in the 800-meter race. 

Andres Vega, Ray Haslam and Brayden Dearden also competed in the 1600-meter race, and Tyler Vineyard raced in the 800-meter.

Jeydon Boyd and Anthony Tibbetts competed in the shot put, earning 6th and 7th place. Boyd and Tibbetts also competed in the discus throw. 

Tanner Plowman earned 22nd place overall in the long jump.

Andres Vega and Zach Jackson competed in the 110-meter hurdles.

In the 4x400 relay, the team of Tanner Plowman, Oscar Zhang, Austin Quin Martinez and Louis Failoni earned 8th place. 

In the 4x100 relay, the team of Oscar Zhang, Tanner Plowman, AQ Martinez and Cameron Adams came in 10th place.

Oscar Zhang, AQ Martinez, Holden Stubbs, Merrick Cooper, Cameron Adams and Jeydon Boyd ran the 100-meter dash. 

Cameron Adams, Oscar Zhang, Ty Vineyard, Holden Stubbs, Brayden Dearden, Jacob Rily and Ray Haslam ran the 400-meter race. 

Andres Vega and Zach Jackson competed in the 300-meter hurdles.

The Kemmerer track team heads to West Jordan for the Copper Hills Invitational on Saturday, March 24.
