The Kemmerer girls’ track team competed at the Davis Super Invite in Kaysville, Utah, on Tuesday, March 19.
The Lady Rangers were up against several big schools from Wyoming and Utah, including Davis High School, Layton, Weber, Corner Canyon, Bingham, Rock Springs, Evanston and Northridge.
Kemmerer Sophomore Marisa Orcutt ran the 100-meter in 14.21. Junior Teryn Thatcher finished the 100-meter in 15.29.
Orcutt’s time in the 200-meter in Kaysville was 29.80.
Sophomore Sydnie Julander ran the 400-meter in 1:11.97.
Junior Sammi Butler finished the 800-meter race in 2:48.08.
Butler ran the 1600-meter in 6:23.93, and sophomore Sophie Failoni ran the 1600-meter in 6:36.35.
Butler’s time was 14:09.00 in the 3200-meter.
Senior Brooklyn Hagler finished the 100-meter hurdles in 18.66. Hagler ran the 300-meter hurdles in 54.44.
Junior Kenley Plowman took 11th place in the long jump event in Kaysville.
The Kemmerer girls ran the 4x100 relay in 56.42. The Lady Rangers finished the 4x400 relay in 4:57.53. The team ran the sprint medley relay in 4:55.18.
The girls will race in the Carbon County Farm Bureau Classic in Price, Utah, on Friday, March 22, and Saturday, March 23.
The next track meet after that is in Big Piney on Friday, March 29.
