The Kemmerer Swim Club competed at the Wyoming Winter state swiim meet in Laramie last week. The Kemmerer Swim Club took first in their division with 513 points.
Carl Krell took first place in the 200 open men’s butterfly. Carl Krell also placed first in the 200 open men’s IM and 100-yard butterfly.
Colter Krell earned fourth place in the 10 and under age group in the 50-yard backstroke and fourth place in the 200-yard IM.
Seth Krell took first in the 12 and under age group in the 100-yard breaststroke. Seth placed second in the 50 breaststroke and third in the 50-yard backstroke.
Malachi Villarreal took 2nd in the 10 and under age group in the 100-yard freestyle, 50 backstroke, 500-yard freestyle, 100-yard backstroke, and 200-yard freestyle. Malachi also placed 3rd in the 100-yard IM and 50-yard butterfly, and earned a fourth place in the 50-yard freestyle race. Zyan Villarreal was the only six-year-old who qualified to swim in the Wyoming state swim meet. Zyan qualified to swim in four events at state in the 8 and under age group, finishing 13th in state in the 50-yard freestyle.
