Members of the Kemmerer Main Street Committee began their business recognition program this week by presenting a plaque to the Place on Pine restaurant.

The committee will continue to present these plaques to Kemmerer’s downtown businesses.

The plaque reads, “Kemmerer Main Street hereby recognizes (business name) for  investing in and supporting Kemmerer’s historic downtown area.”

“We really just want to recognize small businesses who are working hard to invest in Kemmerer,” said Kemmerer Main Street Committee member Bill Price.

The committee holds a Farmers’ Market every Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in Triangle Park.

The Main Street Committee was also responsible for the planting and delivering flowerbeds to downtown businesses earlier this summer.

The committee will hold a meeting on Tuesday, July 18, at 5:00 p.m. at the Fossil County Museum. The public is welcome to attend and learn more about what the committee does and how they can get involved.
