The Council approved the transfer of a retail liquor license from David Shillcox to Bradley J. Welch and Melinda M. Hart of Sage Bowling Lanes, Inc.
The Council approved a change order for the Safe Routes to School Project in an amount of $2700. This amount will cover the unforeseen costs of replacing an unsafe manhole near Canyon Elementary and addressing a water line that was dug up during the project.
Megan Alexander was approved by the council to fill a vacant position on the Fossil Basin Promotion Board.
The Council discussed the results of a public auction sale of old city vehicles. Three of the vehicles sold for over the council's anticipated price.
Mayor Anthony Tomassi and City Administrator Andrew Nelson thanked Events Center and Recreation Department director Rachelle Points for her work in accommodating the Pole Creek firefighters at the South Lincoln Events Center.
The Council thanked those who volunteered and those who came to the community picnic on Tuesday, August 22. Nearly 400 people were served at the picnic, and half of the picnic costs were paid for by Lincoln County.
