The Kemmerer Rangers Babe Ruth baseball team traveled to Evanston last Thursday, June 8, to play another great game of baseball.

Clayton Moyles and Cayson Smith pitched a great game for Kemmerer.

Both Kemmerer and Evanston scored a run in the first inning to start things out with a nice even score.

In the second inning, Kemmerer quickly loaded the bases as Connor Vickery and Austin Quin Martinez produced base hits and Clayton Moyles hit a double.

Rayce Kindshuh had a solid hit into center field to bring in a runner, making the score 2 to 1.

Evanston’s pitcher Connor Peterson balked, loading the bases with Rangers, and bringing in a runner to make the score Kemmerer 3 to 1.

Quintus Tibbetts moved the players around with a great hit, bringing in another run for Kemmerer.

Next at bat was Anthony Tibbetts. He made the swing and bang, out of the park it went for a three-run homer.

The team joined Tibbetts at the plate for a victory cheer. After the second inning, the score stood at 6 to 1 with Kemmerer in the lead.

With no runs from either team in the third inning, the score stayed the same until Evanston brought in two runs in the 4th inning, making the score 7 to 3.

The two-hour time limit rule brought the game to a close in the 4th inning, leaving Kemmerer on top 7 to 3.

The teams were scheduled to play again Thursday, June 15,  in Evanston. Results were not available at press time.
