Mike Kahre was sworn in as the new Kemmerer Police Chief at the Kemmerer City Council meeting on Monday, July 10.
Chief Kahre’s family, friends and coworkers were there to congratulate him.
Kahre has been acting as interim chief for nearly two months. He has been with the police force for nine years.
Kahre raised his right hand and promised to “support, obey and defend the constitution of the United States and the constitution of the state of Wyoming and (do) the duties of (his) office with fidelity.”
Kemmerer City Administrator Andrew Nelson and the council welcomed Kahre. “We are thrilled to have Chief Kahre here; he’s a man of honor,” Nelson said.
