Jay (Bubba) P. Fonnesbeck, beloved husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, great grandfather, son, brother, and uncle, passed away at home on August 22, 2020.

Born in Logan, Utah, on January 21, 1952, Jay was the son of Dale and Laura Fonnesbeck. His father is deceased.

Jay spent part of his youth growing up and working on a cotton farm in Pahrump, Nevada. His family returned to Richmond, Utah, were Jay graduated from Skyview High School.

Jay moved to Kemmerer, and began working for Utah Power and Light. On July 17, 1982, Jay married Constance Woodworth Claytor, in Kemmerer. They moved to Price, Utah, were he took an apprenticeship at the College of Eastern Utah, and studied for two years. He became a journeyman power plant mechanic for the power company. Jay retired from Rocky Mountain Power after 40 years of service.

Jay was an avid fisherman, hunter, cook, and gardener. He enjoyed entertaining his family and friends.

Jay is survived by his wife Constance Fonnesbeck, his mother Laura Fonnesbeck, his children Douglas Fonnesbeck, Thomas (Brenda) Claytor, Tod (Cristina) Claytor, Timothy Claytor, and Justin Wright, 14 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Dawayne Fonnesbeck, Dan (Susan) Fonnesbeck, Shelley Fonnesbeck, John (Colleen) Fonnesbeck, Edwin (Bambi) Fonnesbeck, and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on September 25, 2020, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Bowery (next to the Stake Center), 565 East 100 South, Logan Utah
