Glenn Michael Smith, age 63, died at South Lincoln Medical Center in Kemmerer, on Friday, March 2, from complications due to cancer. He was born on February 22, 1955, in Orange, Texas, the son of Billy and Darlene (Gilstrap) Smith.
Glenn worked as an electrician for the majority of his life. He enjoyed the great outdoors and spending time fishing. He also enjoyed playing golf on occasions. He enjoyed taking rides up to the mountains, and being in the outdoors. Glenn also enjoyed woodworking. Glenn was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan who served his country in the U.S. Navy, and was honorably discharged.
Glenn is survived by brothers Woody (Tracy) Smith of Evanston and Dale Smith of Diamondville; niece Amanda Christensen of Kemmerer; and nephew Forrest Smith of Evanston. He is also survived by his children, Chassity (Craig) DeBerry and Stephanie Smith, stepdaughter Angela Reyes, and stepson David Williams. Glenn is also survived by his grandchildren, Jordan, Kaley, Ben, and Zach and great-niece Raelee Christensen.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Darlene Smith, his spouse Gloria, and numerous other relatives.
Memorial services to celebrate Glenn’s life will be conducted on Saturday, March 10, at 2:00 p.m., at Ball Family Chapel in Kemmerer. Memoiral donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, or to an organization of the donors choice.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Ball Family Chapel in Kemmerer. Online condolences may be offered at ballfamilychapel.com.
