Get ready for Halloween with community events

Malinda Hart, Shelly Hysell, Shauna Ridgeway, Ellen Potter and Judy Ourada make “witch hats” for Halloween as part of a Frontier Arts Council class. Kemmerer and Diamondville have several upcoming fall events for the community to celebrate Halloween.

The weather's cooler and the leaves are changing, which means it's almost time for the community to celebrate fall and Halloween with several events around town.

The Kemmerer Library is hosting its third annual Zombie Walk on Friday, Oct. 19. Kids can get their faces painted at the library from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. The Zombie Walk will start at 5:30 p.m. at Triangle Park in Kemmerer. Refreshments will be served after the walk, and friendly pets are allowed.

The annual community Fall Festival will be on Saturday, Oct. 20, at the South Lincoln Training and Events Center from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Kemmerer library will host a Monster Walk from the Hamsfork Grill to the Events Center at 2:30 p.m. The costume contest  at the fall festival is at 3:30 p.m. The Kemmerer 4-H  club is hosting a haunted hayride at 6:30 p.m. that evening.

CANCELLED - Turning Point is hosting a Witches and Ghouls Night Out on Saturday, Oct. 20, at the Eagles Hall. - CANCELLED

Fossil Country Frontier Museum in Kemmerer will host the Haunted Museum event on Friday, Oct. 26 and Saturday, Oct. 27. Contact the museum for more information.

On Saturday, Oct. 27, the Eagles Hall will host a kids' Halloween party from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

The Kemmerer Senior Center will have its annual pumpkin auction on Monday, Oct. 29, at 1:00 p.m.

Local businesses will participate in the  annual Chamber of Commerce Trick or Treat night on Wednesday, Oct. 31, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.For a list of local businesses participating, visit the Kemmerer-Diamondville Area Chamber of Commerce Facebook page.
