Fossil Butte National Monument will host three programs in the Summer Night Sky Series. The first is a star viewing party on Saturday, July 14. A full moon walk will take place on Saturday, July 28, and the final program is a viewing of the Perseid Meteor Shower on Saturday, August 11. All programs will begin at 8:00 p.m. with a short presentation in the visitors’ center, and will end at 11:00 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to bring warm clothes, bug spray, chairs, binoculars and telescopes.
