The annual Community Fall Festival was held last Saturday at the Events Center in Kemmerer. The event was a huge success as the hundreds of local children transformed themselves into goblins, princesses, and variety of scary and whimsical creatures.
Many families dressed in group costumes, and they showed great imagination with their outfits.
The perimeter of the banquet room was filled with several activity stations for the kids: games, cake walk, magnetic fishing and corn hole. Many had their faces painted, frosted and decorated cookies and had their picture taken at the photo booth.
After the costume contest was complete everyone went outside to enjoy the bouncy houses, rides on the firetruck bucket, and a meal of chili and hotdogs served up by the city staff and volunteers.
Winners of the costume contest won a giant bag of goodies.
The costume winner in the 0- to 3-year-old category was Hayz Broadhead. The prize for best 4- to 6-year-old costume went to Cayson Hysell; 7- to 9-year-old went to Taylor Ridgeway, for the 10- to 17- year-olds. The 18+ winner was Anne Rudy, and the group costume contest winner was the Broadhead family.
Thirteen-year-old Alexa Hartman won the best costume in the 10-17 age group at Saturday’s fall festival. She made her “headless bride” costume herself.
Taylor Ridgeway’s witch costume won in the 7- to 8-year-old age category.
It’s the Incredibles! Amanda and Ben Head donned their best superhero getups on Saturday with kids Olson, Natalie and David.
Anna Ellis’ costume at the fall festival was scary good.
