Eugene L. (Gene) Corbridge passed away peacefully on Friday, May 18, surrounded by his family. He had just celebrated his 89th birthday.

Dad was born on May 15, 1929, to Earl and Selma Corbridge in Preston, Idaho. He was the oldest of four children and grew up in Idaho and Utah.

He was drafted into the Army and served during the Korean War.

He graduated from Utah State University and was hired as a Range Conservationist for the BLM. He worked in Nevada, Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming.

He met his sweetheart Mary Helen Nicksic Corbridge in Fillmore, Utah, and married her on March 21, 1959, in the Manti Temple.

After raising a family together and providing a great example of marriage, Mary died way too soon in 1997; Gene later married Peggy Kay Nicksic Griffiths Corbridge on May 18, 2002. They loved and took care of each other for many years until Peggy passed away in 2017.

Dad was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in a variety of positions over the years, including Scout leader, home teacher, Sunday School teacher, and Branch President in Battle Mountain, Nevada.

Dad loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting with his family.

He loved to watch football and play tennis, and later enjoyed playing pickleball with a great group of friends in Logan, Utah.

Dad will be missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his children Kim (Dean) Balaszi, David (Leslie) Corbridge, Jode Packer, and Brenda (Doug) Gregg; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; his sister Marlene Roberts and brothers Terry (Carla) Corbridge and Denny Corbridge. He was preceded in death by his wives Mary Helen Nicksic Corbridge and Peggy Kay Nicksic Griffiths Corbridge and his parents Earl and Selma Corbridge.

A graveside service was held at the Preston, Idaho, cemetery on May 26. Condolences may be expressed online at allenmortuaries.net.
