Funeral services for Cedar City, Utah, resident Dorothy Jean Twitchell Ellingford, 92, will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 15, in the Kemmerer Wyoming Stake Center.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, at the Ball Family Chapel in Kemmerer, and one hour prior to services on Monday at the stake center.

Dorothy passed away on April 8, 2019, at her home. She was born February 14, 1927, in Abraham, Utah, the daughter of Charles Gilbert and Julia Elena (Booth) Twitchell. She was raised in Lyman, Wyo., and Garden City, Utah. She married Jack Garnell Ellingford on August 10, 1959. She supported her children in school and attended their activities. She went on a mission to California in 1993 to share her love of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with others. She enjoyed reading poetry, traveling, crocheting, doing embroidery and spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her daughters, Deanne Pierce of Cedar City, Utah, and JoAnn Souder of Las Vegas, Nev., and their husbands, as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents; brother and sisters, Ren Lyle, Phyllis Ann, and Charlene Twitchell; her three sons, Richard Gene, Charles Nelson and Kit Daren Ellingford, and her daughter, Wendy Cheryl Ellingford Waite.

Interment will follow at the Lyman city cemetery. Ball Family Chapel of Kemmerer is in charge of arrangements.
