Diamondville intersection will see additional signing

Kemmerer — The Wyoming Department of Transportation will be adding signage to the intersection of US 189/Alt US 30, Spring Valley Drive and Lincoln Street near E&L Motors and Frontier Ford.

WYDOT investigated the intersection after receiving public comment that some motorists were confused about which lane to use in order to travel straight through and onto West Lincoln Street.

“The new sign is in response to several questions from the public about the "correct" way to navigate the intersection.  People, including local law enforcement, were witnessing different approaches to clearing the intersection," Local Resident Engineer Jennifer Hoffman said.

The new sign will be a black on white regulatory sign depicting appropriate lanes of travel for left turn, straight through or right turn movements.

The new 36 inch by 30 inch sign will be installed on the west side of the intersection near Arctic Circle this week.  Motorists are encouraged to take note of the new sign.
