DIAMONDVILLE — The Diamondville Town Council held a quick meeting Monday, Nov. 18. The meeting was to address bills to pay and to swear in Jim McSweeny to fill the rest of Chuck Smith’s term, ending Dec. 31, 2020. McSweeny stated that his wife had told him the council was looking for someone to cover the term and put his name in the hat. At the time he was in South Dakota hunting. When he came back, he finished filling out the application. The Town of Diamondville is also getting ready to set up the ice rink in town. They would also like to let the community of Diamondville know that they will be picking up trash Wednesday Nov. 27, due to the Thanksgiving Holiday.
