The Diamondville council heard complaints at the meeting on Monday, April 15, regarding confusion about residents’ garbage bills.
One Diamondville resident said her garbage bill payment checks had not been cashed. Other residents said they hadn’t received a bill for months.
The Diamondville council and town clerk Markus Ramsperger assured the residents that they were aware of the issues and were working to address the payment confusion.
“We appreciate you coming here tonight and voicing your concern,” Mayor Mark Langley said. “Those aren’t just words. We are paying attention and working to solve this.”
“There is a record of all payments we received, so it’s not like the payments are disappearing,” Ramsperger said.
Councilman Chuck Smith told the attendees they would not be charged twice for garbage service.
