Dee Dee R. Walder, of Kemmerer, passed away unexpectedly on Feb. 23. She was only 48 years old. The family is both devastated and shocked by her death.

Dee Dee was born on June 14, 1974, in Scottsdale, Arizona, to Randle Durant and Mary (Pedigo) McClure.

Dee Dee graduated from Kemmerer High school in 1992, including a year of schooling when the family temporarily relocated to Winnemucca, Nevada. Over the course of her life she embarked on several career choices.

She was licensed as a nail technician, worked as a banker, owned her own business as a florist and later found her passion for working with children as a substitute teacher and cafeteria worker, affectionately called “Miss Dee Dee,” within the Lincoln County School District.

Deeds or Deeders, as she was known to her friends, loved reading — especially biographies — wearing flip-flops in all seasons, hosting and cooking in her home, the color pink and any program on Bravo!

She was always ready to try a new restaurant or join you for a chat with a big glass of wine.

Dee Dee’s antics were legendary, and those who knew her have their own stories to tell. She said what she meant and meant what she said. One never had to question where they stood with Deeders.

In 2005, Dee Dee married David Waldner and they welcomed a beautiful daughter, LaRanda in 2008.

Family was of paramount importance to Deeds and she was an amazing mother and aunt. She never missed an opportunity to loudly cheer for LaRanda at her numerous track meets and volleyball games.

She also made it a point to travel whenever she could to support her nephews, Derek and Beckett, playing her favorite sport — baseball.

We will all miss her radiant smile and contagious laugh!

Dee Dee is preceded in death by both her parents, Randle and Mary.

She is survived by her husband, David; daughter, LaRanda; her brother and sister-in-law, Justin and Heidi Durant and their sons, Derek and Beckett; her aunt, Karen Coyle; cousin, Ronda Duryea; Lonnie McClure; her mother-in-law, Sara; four brothers-in-law and their families; three sisters-in-law and their families; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She is also survived by close family friends, Christine and Tim Troxel, Leslie and Matt Hislop, Candace and Adrian Perez and Cory Case.
