Shawn Wyse presented scholarships to Cokeville Panther senior wrestlers Antheny Petersen and Cordell Viehweg at the Carbon County Wrestling Invite on Saturday, Feb. 10.
The $200 scholarships were presented to Petersen and Viehweg in honor of Stoney Stonecypher, Shawn’s father, who passed away seven years ago.
Each year Shawn Wyse and her family choose a wrestler that is a great person on and off the mat, one that never gives up, one who is a great leader for their team, one who is an example of sportsmanship to his team and others and one who has the ability, determination, and courage to step on the mat and give everything they have to the sport.
