The Panther wrestlers had a busy week with home duals on Thursday, Jan. 18, and a tournament on Friday and Saturday.

The home dual was with the Lyman Eagles and the Rich High Rebels. In the first dual with Lyman, the teams matched up for 15 matches, including J.V. matches. The Panthers won 12 of these matches and won the dual 42–28.

Next the Panthers faced the Rebels of Rich High School. In this dual there were 13 matches, including J.V. matches, and the Panthers won 7 of these matches. They also won the dual 42–30.

The Cokeville wrestling team represented the Panthers well last weekend at the Rockwell Rumble in Orem, Utah, on Saturday, Jan. 20.

The boys wrestled hard at this difficult tournament. Cokeville’s varsity team competed with the following wrestlers: seniors Cordell Viehweg and Antheny Petersen and juniors Ammon Teichert, Lochlyn Teichert, Devan Moody, Brayden Johnson and Bentley Johnson.

Though no one on the team placed, all the boys gave their best efforts and made Cokeville proud. Antheny Petersen and Bentley Johnson lost in the consolation quarters, nearly making it into the placing rounds.

At the J.V. end of the tournament, the J.V. wrestlers continued to represent Cokeville well with Wes Teichert earning fourth place.

The Cokeville wrestlers compete at the Ron Thon tournament this weekend in Riverton, and then head to the Bridgerland tournament on Friday, Feb. 2.
