Monday, Sept. 14, children grades three through six hurried to the Cokeville Branch Library after school for a chance to find a golden ticket. The library was celebrating Roald Dahl’s birthday. In honor of his birthday, children were given a free book and a Wonka chocolate Hershey bar. There was one golden ticket hidden in one of the candy bars. Lindsey Thomas found the golden ticket and was awarded a “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” lunch box.
The junior varsity Panthers hosted the junior varsity Buff football squad of Mountain View on Monday, Sept. 14. Both teams played hard but it was the Panthers who came away with the win 22-14.
The Panthers traveled to Mountain View on Friday, Sept. 18, to face the Buffs for their homecoming football game. The game was tied at 10 at halftime but it was the home team that put the most points on the board in the second half. The final score was 23-13 for the Buffs. The Panthers will host the Wranglers of Pinedale for their homecoming game on Friday, Sept. 25. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. Good luck, Panthers.
