The Lady Panthers attempted to travel to Encampment on Friday, Jan. 18, but got stuck in Rock Springs due to poor weather conditions on Interstate 80. By the time they could continue on their journey, Encampment had already canceled the games, so the team spent the night in Rawlins.

On Saturday, Jan. 19, the girls’ basketball team traveled to Saratoga to take on the Lady Panthers of Saratoga. The Cokeville Lady Panthers were on fire as they defeated the Saratoga Lady Panthers 72–22. Kamille Nate had 25 points and nine rebounds. Janae Teichert had  six steals. Kylee Dayton had eight assists and Emmie Barnes had 22 points. The Cokeville girls now have a season record of 12–2.

The Lady Panthers will be home on Friday, Jan. 25, to host the Lady Pronghorns of Farson-Eden. On Saturday, Jan. 26, the Cokeville girls will travel to Kemmerer to face the Lady Rangers.

The Cokeville boys’ basketball team was also on the road this week and spent several hours in Rock Springs waiting for the roads to open on I-80. They also spent Friday night in Rawlins and then traveled to Saratoga on Saturday, Jan. 19, to face the Panthers.

The Cokeville Panthers played hard and led throughout the game but the fourth quarter was owned by Saratoga, who took the victory 83–78 over the Cokeville Panthers. The Cokeville boys now have a season record of 10–3.

The Panthers will host the Farson-Eden Pronghorns on Friday, Jan. 25, and will travel to Kemmerer on Saturday, Jan. 26, to face the Rangers.
