Brendon Cook and Tahnee Saxton were married on Friday, August 18 in the Star Valley, Wyoming L.D.S. Temple. A celebration was held that evening at the Kodiak Mountain Resort in Star Valley. Brendon and Tahnee will now head to Logan where Tahnee is finishing up her education at Utah State University. (COURTESY PHOTO)

Kennan Thompson, son of Bill and Ellen Thompson, returned this week after serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Florida, Orlando Mission. Kennan spoke in the Cokeville 1st and 2nd Wards on Sunday, August 20. He had many family members and friends there to welcome him home. Kennan will now go to BYU Provo to further his education.

Nathan Cook, son of Kenneth and Nanette Cook, returned this week after serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Texas, Lubbock Mission. Nathan spoke in the Cokeville 1st and 2nd Wards on Sunday, August 20. He was welcomed home by family and friends. Nathan will now head to BYU Idaho to further his education.

Lynn and Margaret Dayton were weekend visitors at the home of Joe and Buffy Dayton.

Jade and Julie Henderson spent several days visiting in Cokeville with friends.

Pete and Gwen Petersen joined many of their children and grandchildren for a family reunion in Idaho Falls on Saturday, August 19. The group enjoyed an afternoon at Rigby Lake followed by a barbecue at the home of Jerry and Kara Petersen. Some family members stayed through to witness the solar clipse in Idaho Falls on Monday, August 21.

Sisters of all ages gathered at the Cokeville City Park on Tuesday, August 15, for the annual “Sisters in the Park.” The group enjoyed a potluck lunch followed by a craft where they made beautiful bracelets.

Cokeville students started school on Monday, August 21.
